The Almac Sabre S2 is not the first New Zealand produced car that we have built for racing. Prior to the Sabre we entered a Chevron and McRae 550 in tarmac rallies and circuit racing.

• Chevron Clubman - New Zealand built 'Lotus 7 style' kit car; fitted with a Toyota 18RG 2 litre twin cam; Celica 5 speed gearbox; Holden Torana diff & rear suspension; Vauxhall Magnum front suspension; box-section space-frame chassis; fibreglass & aluminium body.
  
  
• McRae 550 Spyder - New Zealand built 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder replica; powered by a 3 litre Porsche 911 Carrera engine; 911 transaxle; 914 rear suspension; VW front suspension; chrome-moly tubular chassis; fibreglass body.
